South Boston Engagement Session

I loved every moment spent with Emily and Tom for their South Boston Engagement Session! They are the sweetest couple and I have loved getting to know them. This actually isn’t the first time meeting them, as I captured Tom’s sister’s wedding as well. It has been so wonderful to have one-on-one time with Emily and Tom. Having met Tom’s family once before, I am looking forward to seeing them all again at Emily and Tom’s wedding!

For their South Boston engagement, we first headed to Fan Pier Park. This spot is a local favorite known for its incredible views of the seaport area and Boston cityscape. After exploring the harbor, we then headed to Castle Island. The natural scenery of the sandy beach and gorgeous fall trees was the perfect balance to the city images from Fan Pier Park. Boston is a special area for the couple and I loved incorporating these two locations for them. They both also did a fantastic job with their outfits. Emily’s blush pink dress was gorgeous and paired well with Tom’s navy blue pants and light blue shirt. I also loved the tie detail in the front of Emily’s dress.

These college sweethearts met at Bentley University during their Sophomore year. For the proposal Tom planned a trip to Newport, RI where he took Emily on a private sailboat. Once the captain found the perfect spot for Tom to propose with a beautiful view of the cliffs in the background, they paused for a photo opportunity during which Tom dropped to one knee and asked Emily to marry him. What an incredibly sweet and romantic moment!

The couple are set to marry next year at Newport Beach House which is an amazing, gorgeous venue. I love that they are marrying at the same beach in Newport, RI where their engagement occurred. I can hardly wait to capture all the beautiful moments from their coastal wedding and witness the next chapter of their love story unfold.
