Brogan reached out to me looking for a Boston proposal photographer about a month he was going to propose to Jenna. I was so excited! Proposals are one of my favorite things to photograph because there is so much raw emotion, happiness, surprise, and love jam packed into just a few minutes. We picked the location, made all of the plans, and I even drew a little diagram for where he should stand for the photos.
The morning began as a beautiful, sunny day. As we inched closer to the big moment, storm clouds began to roll in. Brogan had shared his location with me to track how close they were, and Jenna’s entire family was waiting in hiding right where the proposal was about to happen. Not only were we tracking their location, but we were also tracking the radar!
Brogan and Jenna neared their very special spot, and immediately the sky opened up. Brogan got down on one knee and looked up at Jenna with rain flooding his vision (or was it tears? We may never know 😉). He popped the question, and it was fully pouring down on them (and everyone else that was off hiding in the distance).
After everyone came out, so did the sun, and Brogan & Jenna had the best post rain photos I’ve ever seen! Check out my Instagram post to see a video of the day!
Boston Proposal In The Rain
Most of the time when rain rolls in unexpectedly, it’s inconvenient, but for this Boston Esplanade proposal, it made it all the more magical. It felt like it was raining just for them, and Jenna’s reaction was so incredibly touching and sweet. Throughout the whole proposal and the moments that followed, these two continued to stand in the rain laughing, smiling, hugging, and celebrating being newly engaged. They were not even phased by the rain! This was a day I will never forget, and I am so excited to officially share these super fun photos.
