From start to finish, Amanda and Brian’s elegant Fairmont Copley Plaza wedding in Boston was the definition of timeless romance. Every detail, from the floral design to the heartfelt private vows, came together to create a wedding day that was timeless, stunning, and full of personal details.

I’ve been lucky enough to work alongside the incredibly talented wedding planner, Julie, from Something Bleu Weddings & Events since 2020, and she brought Amanda and Brian’s wedding vision to life so flawlessly. With a palette of crisp whites, soft creams, and neutral greens (think sage, eucalyptus, and baby’s breath), this wedding was a dreamy nod to classic romance and sophisticated Boston charm.

Elegant Fairmont Copley Plaza Wedding

Nestled in the heart of Boston, the historic Fairmont Copley Plaza Hotel was the perfect venue for Amanda and Brian’s timeless affair. The Oval Room and Venetian Room offered that ideal blend of grandeur and intimacy, which is just what they were looking for when searching for a venue that felt unique, welcoming, and truly “them.” The architecture alone is breathtaking, but when paired with their soft color palette and floral touches, it created a luxurious setting for their wedding day to unfold.

Amanda and Brian were pure magic to photograph. Even without doing an engagement session, it felt like I had known them for years. They laughed nonstop throughout the day, and the way they looked at each other, especially during their private vow exchange, was something I’ll never forget. Their private vows were deeply emotional and intimate, and it was such a gift to witness that moment between them.

Before the ceremony, we snuck over to the Boston Public Library for some portraits, as well as outside Fairmont Copley Plaza Hotel. And WOW! – these two brought the romance. Their laughter-filled photos outside the venue are some of my absolute favorites from the day.

Their Love Story

Amanda and Brian’s love story began at Bentley University, where they first met sophomore year, but didn’t start dating until senior year. Since then, their love has grown through nearly five years together, and it all led to this stunning Boston wedding day.

Brian’s proposal was the perfect mix of surprise and thoughtfulness. Under the pretense of Amanda’s birthday celebration in Newport, RI, Brian led Amanda to the lighthouse at Castle Hill Inn, where he had arranged a candle-lit proposal by the water. Surrounded by flowers, he asked Amanda to be his wife. Their families were secretly waiting at the inn to celebrate with them afterward. The entire weekend, including a celebratory dinner and a tour of The Breakers, was the perfect start to their next chapter.

Timeless Boston Wedding

Amanda and Brian shared that their biggest hope was for their wedding day to feel timeless. They wanted to be able to look at their wedding photos 25+ years from now, and be transported back to the magic of that day without anything feeling dated. Goal accomplished! Everything from the elegant setting of the Fairmont Copley Plaza, to their classic details, to the genuine joy on their faces created that timeless wedding day
