Caitrin and Keith’s Intimate Boston wedding in Beacon Hill was amazing in every way. I was honored to capture their wedding day, as the couple came all the way from Charleston, South Carolina to Boston for their wedding day celebration. Twenty of their family members attended the intimate ceremony and reception. Caitrin and Keith made the day all about them, focusing on their love, while also enjoying the company of their loved ones.
Having met in college, the couple have been dating for over 10 years. They got engaged during covid and have waited for the perfect moment to tie the knot. Before the ceremony began, the couple stayed and readied at The Newbury Hotel, a beautiful, luxury hotel in the Boston area!
Intimate Boston Wedding in Beacon Hill
Their Boston ceremony was at Saint Cecilia Parish, which was beautiful. I loved all the stained glass windows, high ceilings, and architecture. Family watched with such love as they exchanged their vows. You could feel the love between Caitrin and Keith, as well as their family’s love surrounding them. After the ceremony, the bride and groom took the party trolley back to The Newbury Hotel to refresh and head out for their wedding portraits!
They wanted a very “Boston feel” to their photos. We started portraits at the hotel and then went on to the Boston Public Garden and Beacon Hill. I love historic Beacon Hill with its cobblestone streets and worldly charm. My favorite setting, however, was the romantic weeping willow tree. The long green vines touching the ground surrounded them and created such beautiful portraits. They were troopers, as it was humid with temperatures near 100! We ended with family portraits around the Boston Common before heading to the surprise reception!
Intimate Wedding Reception at Beacon Hill Books & Cafe
Caitrin, an avid book lover with a career in publishing, orchestrated a magical twist for their celebration. The cocktail hour and reception unfolded in the enchanting space of Beacon Hill Books & Cafe. Only the bride’s mom and sister knew about the reception location! Upon arriving at the bookstore, everyone said the location was “so Caitrin!” It was truly amazing! They transformed the inside of this adorable bookstore decorating it with white flowers and navy and light blue place settings. The bookstore also features a kids’ room with a small hidden entrance, which was so cool! I absolutely loved that their intimate reception was set against the backdrop of books in this elevated but intimate space that reflected the couple. It made for the perfect ending to their dream wedding day in Boston!
Caitrin and Keith, your wedding day was magical in every way. It was an incredible honor to photograph your special day! I wish you both a lifetime of love and happiness!
