There’s something so special about photographing a couple whose connection feels completely effortless! That was exactly the case with Mayan and Alex! Their romantic Boston engagement session was filled with so much love, laughter, and connection. From the very beginning, these two were total naturals. I barely had to give any direction. They were wrapped up in each other the entire time, laughing, snuggling, and just being themselves. It made the whole session feel relaxed and genuine.
Mayan and Alex have known each other for years. They first met all the way back at summer camp and later reconnected. What started as a friendship eventually grew into something more, and now here they are, planning their wedding and building a life together.
Romantic Boston Engagement Session
We started their engagement session along the Esplanade, one of my favorite locations for engagement photos in Boston. There’s something about the mix of city views and water that always feels so timeless and romantic. However, it was a very windy day by the water, so after capturing a few portraits there we made our way back towards the Back Bay, and I’m so glad we did!
The change of scenery from the Esplanade gave us the perfect balance in scenery. We went from beautiful, natural backgrounds to charming streets, classic Boston architecture, and the more seasonal foliage.
Back Bay is another one of my go-to spots for engagement sessions in Boston, especially when couples want that iconic, city feel. Between the tree-lined streets and historic brownstones, it created the dreamiest backdrop for Mayan and Alex’s photos.
Mayan and Alex will be saying “I do” at the beautiful DeCordova Sculpture Park and Museum, and I already know their wedding day is going to be incredible.
Mayan and Alex, thank you for trusting me to capture this season of your lives. Your love is so easy, so joyful, and such a dream to photograph. I cannot wait for your wedding day!
