Intimate Engagement Session

I love when my clients want to include something of significance in their session, whether it is an item, a beloved pet, or location with meaning. When you add in these details, it adds an extra layer of meaning to the photos – telling your story. For Jess and Ben, they wanted to include a favorite local brewery in their intimate engagement session, as they love spending time together exploring breweries and cocktail bars. They decided on the Tree House Brewing Company, and I absolutely loved it!

Tree House Brewing Company

The Tree House Brewing Company is a favorite of theirs that they frequent. They both enjoy the atmosphere as well as the beer! The brewery has several beautiful spots around the property that are perfect for capturing engagement photos. The back of the building has a large green space with flowers, as well as a path that winds around the brewery giving way to stunning views off in the horizon. Then, there is the actual brewery, which has a romantic ambiance on the patio with stringed lights and a fun, energetic vibe on the inside.

Jess and Ben knew before they got engaged that they wanted to have a wedding related event at this location. It being one of their favorites, they envisioned a rehearsal dinner or possibly an engagement party being held here. However, once they were engaged, they decided engagement photos were the best option, and I couldn’t agree more! Now, they not only have beautiful images of them together from this exciting moment in their lives, but the photos also include a place that holds meaning and memories for them both.

As I captured Jess and Ben together, I loved seeing them both so happy and relaxed. Laughter and smiles came easily as they sat on a bench, enjoying one of their favorite drinks together. Not only that, but I clicked instantly with Jess and Ben upon our first meeting. I was thrilled when they said they felt the same! Due to our instant connection, the engagement session felt so natural. It was like we were all great friends, getting together to hang out at a brewery and take some photos. The entire session was such an enjoyable and fun experience. I loved spending time with Jess and Ben AND also using a little more creativity and photographing in a new space!
