Sam and Ben’s sweet energy made the day feel easy and relaxed. They were genuinely happy and it showed, which overflowed into their day filling it with fun and so much love! Samantha got ready with her crew in matching sage green pjs. Her wedding dress was stunning with intricate detail, as was her timeless, cathedral veil.

Out on the lush grounds of Lake Pearl, the couple shared an intimate first look, followed by wedding party and family portraits. Their outdoor wedding ceremony took place overlooking the lake. The stunning lake views is just one of the many reasons this is a top wedding venue destination in New England.

The couple’s choice of a light color palette, featuring shades of sage green, navy, and soft pink, added an element of elegance to the day. The colors perfectly complemented the natural beauty of the lakeside venue, creating a tranquil and sophisticated atmosphere. Their tented reception was a dream. Twinkling, stringed lights and chandeliers hung from the vaulted ceiling. Classic pink and white flower arrangements took the center of each table as natural light poured in from the sides of the tent.

Later in the evening, I snuck the newlyweds back outside for sunset portraits during the golden hour – and what a treat that was! We walked out on the dock just as the sun was descending, creating the most beautiful light peeking through the trees! It was just stunning!

Their Love Story

Samantha and Ben’s love story began on Hinge. Then on their first date, Samantha found out it was Ben’s birthday. Knowing she had to celebrate him, she brought carrot cake cupcakes as a surprise for them to share after dinner. Ben says he knew from that moment on, “it was game over”! She had won his heart!

Ben’s proposal to Samantha was an epic moment that unfolded against the backdrop of Maui’s beauty. After receiving blessings from Samantha’s family, Ben chose a serene spot overlooking the ocean. Then, underneath the Hawaiian sky, he proposed. As she said yes, the entire family joined in the celebration, turning the moment into an unforgettable memory. They then enjoyed a beautiful sunset on the beach as one large new family!

Family is extremely important to both Samantha and Ben, so much so that their wedding inspiration was rooted in the comfort of home and the beauty of nature. They wanted their closest friends and family to celebrate with them in a place that felt like home. Lake Pearl provided the perfect location close to home for their vision to come to life, with its outdoor spaces, lakeside ceremony, boathouse cocktail hour, and tented reception.
