Wingaersheek Beach Engagement

Getting to know this super sweet couple, Kathryn and Mike was such a treat! We met in Gloucester, MA for their Wingaersheek Beach engagement session. From the moment I first met them, we completely vibed. Kathryn and Mike are very detail oriented and also a bit untraditional in what they want their wedding to be like, and I am here for it. In fact, I LOVE it! I love that they like things a little different, preferring a more creative, editorial style with photos that have emotion, look classic, and tell a story, which is exactly why we got along so well!

I also learned that Kathryn’s mom is a photographer, and Kathryn also likes to dabble in the art. Needless to say, I was super flattered when I first learned this. Anyone valuing my art is amazing, but when you have a fellow creative who also sees value, then it’s a huge compliment!

Their Wingaersheek Beach engagement session was beautiful. The sandy shores gave way to stunning views with a lighthouse out in the distance on a rocky ledge. As Kathryn and Mike walked hand in hand along the beach, they shared countless laughs and stolen glances. It felt like their love unfolded around me as they were so natural together.

Their Love Story

Kathryn and Mike met at a Halloween party in 2015 at Providence College where they both attended. They officially started dating a month after graduation in 2016 and have been together since. A few years later, on a beautiful sunny weekend in February 2023, Mike asked Kathryn to be his wife. They were walking around the Providence College campus when Mike pulled her off to the side to propose at the spot where they met, making it a full circle moment.

Their upcoming wedding day will be an intimate event with their closest friends and family, which they described as a “charming fall New England wedding with some gothic edge to it, as it is in Salem”. Mike and Kathryn both fell in love with the venue and its history. I can’t wait to see them again on their big day and capture the beginning of the next chapter of their lives!
