Tucked away in the quaint, historic town of Rowley, Massachusetts, is a charming wedding venue, The Grove at Briar Barn Inn. This beautiful venue served as the idyllic setting for Lauren and Nick’s unforgettable wedding last September. From the rustic charm of the custom post-and-beam barn to the impeccable service provided by the venue’s dedicated team, every detail of their special day was thoughtfully crafted to perfection.
Massachusetts Wedding at The Grove at Briar Barn Inn
One of the standout features of The Grove at Briar Barn Inn is its all-inclusive accommodations, allowing couples and their guests to stay and get ready on-site. This convenience offered Lauren and Nick a seamless and stress-free wedding experience from start to finish. Another benefit of this venue is the on site catering that dishes up the most delicious food!
As Lauren was preparing to step into her dress, a sudden thunderstorm struck that brought with it hail, thunder, and lightning. Despite the weather’s best efforts to disrupt their day, Lauren and Nick remained unfazed, opting to have their first look indoors while the storm passed. Thankfully, the storm was over as quickly as it started. The skies cleared just in time for their beautiful, outdoor ceremony. The staff was amazing and worked quickly to remedy any trace of the storm. I was very impressed as they set to work wiping off chairs, leaf blowing water, and taking care of everything. The weather was perfect the rest of the day. We even got a gorgeous sunset to end the day on, allowing us to capture a few romantic sunset portraits.
First Look Portraits
Lauren and Nick saw the benefit of doing a first look, as it allowed them to capture most of their wedding portraits earlier in the day. In doing so, Lauren and Nick were able to make the most of their time together, enjoying moments of quiet intimacy before the whirlwind of festivities began. I always come prepared with a rain plan as well, which did go into effect. This enabled us to take portraits after the ceremony that we couldn’t do earlier due to the storm. However, no one felt rushed since we had already captured some portraits earlier following their first look.
The new Mr. and Mrs. celebrated their married status against the backdrop of the rustic barn, adorned with beautiful stringed lights and grand chandelier that created an elegant, romantic vibe. The open-concept dining room with hardwood floors and exposed beams provided the perfect ambiance. The newlyweds and their guests enjoyed the beautiful barn, celebrating into the night!
