Arnold Arboretum Boston Engagement

Katie and Pat’s enchanting engagement session at the scenic Arnold Arboretum in Boston was a dream. This sweet, nature-loving couple picked the perfect location to celebrate their love amidst lush greenery and vibrant blooms. Katie is currently working towards her Ph.D. in Plant Biology and it was really fun to be able to include her passion in the photos AND have a gorgeous backdrop!

Katie’s knowledge of plants was so exciting to witness. As we explored the arboretum, she was able to name each plant she encountered. Whenever I said, “hey, over there looks like a great spot!” She would reply with “oh, over by the ‘xyz plant, leaves, or tree’” It was so cool to see her identify and name each plant species – I learned so much!

Pat’s thoughtful aunt gifted the couple a gift card for an engagement session with me. I love meeting new couples and these two were the sweetest. It was a joy to get to know them and spend time with them as I captured this special season of life. They did tell me they were a little nervous for their engagement session, as they had never taken professional photos together. However, their fears were unfounded, because they totally rocked their session! They were such naturals in front of the camera. Their love and warmth for one another was evident in each image.

The picturesque landscapes of the Arnold Arboretum provided the perfect setting to capture their portraits. Katie’s knowledge and appreciation for every plant made it an unforgettable and enjoyable experience. I am so grateful for my time with amazing couple. Congratulations, Katie and Pat!
