It is truly such an honor when I have the opportunity to be a part of people’s lives and document their memorable life moments. Jill is one of those long term clients I’ve had the pleasure of photographing for years now, starting back when I captured her college graduation photos. Now she is thriving in a successful nursing career, and here we are capturing her Boston engagement photos with Drew before their wedding this winter! It feels so special to walk alongside clients in these different seasons of life, and Jill and Drew’s story is one I’ve loved being a part of.
These two first met through Drew’s brother, thanks to mutual friends, and this January they’ll be tying the knot on their 10-year dating anniversary! How incredible is that? There’s something so meaningful about celebrating a wedding on a milestone date that already holds so much history. It’s such a beautiful way to honor the life they’ve built together over the past decade.
Boston Public Library Engagement Photos
For their engagement session, we explored two of my favorite locations in Boston: The Boston Public Library (BPL) and The Back Bay Area of Boston. We started at the library where Jill and Drew’s sophisticated and sleek black outfits paired beautifully with the BPL’s grand exterior architecture, black light fixtures and finishes, and black iron door frames.
Back Bay Area
From there, we wandered into the streets of Back Bay, which never disappoints! Jill also changed outfits, which gave them two distinct looks for their locations. For this second spot, Jill went with a more soft and elegant look wearing a white dress that was perfect for the more natural setting of Back Bay. Between the brownstone-lined streets, the tree-filled corners, and the gorgeous sunlight streaming in through the trees, it felt like the perfect setting to capture Jill and Drew just being themselves.
Spending the evening with Jill and Drew was so easy and fun. They’re one of those couples who make you feel the love between them just by the way they look at each other, and I can only imagine how incredible their wedding day will be when they officially say “I do” after ten years together.
Jill and Drew, thank you for letting me be part of such a meaningful chapter in your story. January can’t come soon enough, and I can’t wait to celebrate your wedding day!
