Destination Charleston Wedding Photographer

As a Boston local and a New England area wedding photographer I have the amazing opportunity to travel around the New England area capturing gorgeous couples and their special wedding day memories. As a photographer and business owner, I am always looking for new ways to grow and ways to expand my craft. Recently, I had the opportunity to travel down to Charleston, South Carolina to attend a film workshop! As a destination Charleston wedding photographer, I also planned on shooting a couple’s honeymoon shoot while I was in town! The film workshop and the honeymoon shoot were both successes!

I had the most fun and I learned so many great things at this film workshop! I can’t wait to start incorporating everything I learned in more wedding and portrait sessions!

Now, shooting film doesn’t mean video! That is something many people think of when they hear film photography, (myself included years ago!). So what exactly is Film Photography? Good Question! It is when you use a film camera with REAL film that you get developed. No digital photos here!

For this honeymoon shoot, I shot the entire session with film using the skills I had just learned at the workshop! The bride wore her wedding dress from Magnolia Bride of Charleston. She also had a classic yet stunning bouquet of white flowers. The couple and I explored the historic downtown Charleston area. We took in the beautiful architecture, cobblestone streets, and southern scenery. It was amazing! We visited a few iconic spots around town too! The images are stunning and I am in love with the results. It is safe to say that I am totally hooked on film photography now!

I am so excited to implement what I learned and continue to grow in my career as a wedding photographer! You will be seeing more film photography from me in the future!
