Saint Clements Castle fairytale Wedding in Connecticut

I recently had the honor of capturing a gorgeous wedding at Saint Clements Castle & Marina, which is an absolutely stunning waterfront venue in Connecticut. This breathtaking venue sits on more than 90 sweeping acres of beautiful land overlooking the Connecticut River. It is a picturesque wedding venue with romantic gardens, charming buildings, elegant event spaces, and an overall warm atmosphere. Needless to say, Hailey and Dylan’s stunning Saint Clements Castle fairytale wedding was a dream from beginning to end!

To start their wedding day off, they each got ready in separate spaces before meeting in the court yard for an intimate first look. Dylan’s reaction to seeing Hailey during the first look was priceless. During this special moment, the couple exchanged private letters that they had written to each other. Their letters left us all in tears, including them! It was such a sweet moment that I am so glad they were able to share before the ceremony and the events of the day. The courtyard area where they shared their first look was gorgeous. I loved the trees lining the stone wall with orange flowers in blossom, and the pink flowers bordering the stone path all leading to the wrought iron gates that open to the charming estate building.

After Hailey and Dylan read their letters and we all pulled ourselves together, I captured more wedding portraits around the courtyard before the start of the ceremony. Hailey’s dad was waiting for her in front of the building where there was a horse drawn carriage ready to take them to the outdoor ceremony in the sunken garden area. After their lovely wedding ceremony, the horse drawn carriage carried the newlyweds away down the road back towards the castle! Everything about Hailey and Dylan’s wedding day screamed fairytale in the best way possible!

Before heading to the elegant ballroom to celebrate their marriage with all those closest to them, I stole them away for more wedding portraits. We explored the grounds of Saint Clements Castle taking in the beauty of the landscape, the grandeur of the estate, and the scenic views of the water. We eventually made our way back to the ballroom for their reception, even though I could have spent more time exploring and taking pictures of this beautiful couple.

Wedding Reception

Before sharing a first dance together, loved ones gave toasts and speeches that were incredible and set the tone for the rest of the evening, which was full of love and laughter. To end their perfect wedding day, the newlyweds shared a private last dance together after everyone had cleared the room. It was a perfect ending to a perfect day. Not only was everyone in attendance at Hailey and Dylan’s fairytale wedding day just as sweet as the couple themselves, but the staff at Saint Clements Castle and Marina was incredible! I loved photographing this sweet couple, and this romantic, elegant wedding venue.

Hailey and Dylan, it was an absolute joy to get to know you and an honor to be a part of your special day. One thing I am 100% certain of is that you two are meant to be, and I am so thankful I was able to witness your fairytale wedding day.
