Kara and Pat’s Boston City Dream Wedding was just that, a dream. Their day was perfect from beginning to end and filled with several joyful, iconic moments! Their Boston wedding day unfolded at The State Room: A Longwood Venue. This stunning venue sits in downtown Boston, MA offering spectacular views of the city, which is one of the reasons the couple chose The State Room as their wedding venue!
Both Pat and Kara knew they had found “the one” shortly after meeting. The couple got engaged before too long, and went on to plan a wedding in under a year! They contacted me about 6 months before their wedding date. I was thrilled that the stars aligned and I was able to work with this incredible couple due to a cancellation earlier that day. I captured their Timeless Beach Engagement just weeks before their wedding day, which was scheduled for October 1st.
Boston City Dream Wedding
Securing that fall date was most important to them, as it was the date of their two year anniversary. Shockingly, their dream wedding venue, The State Room, was available on that exact date, which is why they went for it and decided to plan their dream wedding in less than a year. The end result was gorgeous. Kara and Pat did such an elegant job coordinating everything and seamlessly pulling together all the details to create a true Boston City dream wedding.
The couple exchanged vows at the most gorgeous church in the North End that I’ve ever seen. The church was utterly breathtaking inside and out. I loved all the details in the sanctuary, from the architectural detail, to the impressive artwork decorating the walls and ceiling. Everything was just gorgeous, and on top of that, the lighting was incredible! I was in awe. Throughout the ceremony, Kara and Pat kept sneaking peeks at each other. I loved catching those sweet, intimate moments of their eyes meeting.
After their ceremony, we headed out to capture their amazing wedding photos around downtown. I knew from previous conversations that the couple really wanted iconic, quintessential Boston photos, both around the city and in front of their gorgeous State Room Venue. As the couple stepped off the trolley in the middle of downtown, with the “walk” sign blinking I said, “Now is a good chance!” Without hesitation, Pat swooped Kara out in the middle of the four lane road and dipped Kara as if they practiced it hundreds of times before. It was an iconic moment and I am so thrilled I captured it. Downtown Boston is full of awesome photo spots, but this shot was epic! We also visited Fan Pier Park, which never disappoints, for more amazing wedding portraits!
The State Room: A Longwood Venue
After exploring downtown, we headed to The State Room to celebrate the newlyweds. Kara and Pat’s entire crew, from the wedding party to the guests in attendance were so enthusiastic and happy. I loved seeing how visibly happy everyone was for Kara and Pat. You could feel these two families coming together. I felt so energized being surrounded by everyone’s love and support for this amazing couple. It was one of the best weddings to end the wedding season on, as well as my last month of the busy season.
Between their stunning neutral color palette of white, champagne, and black, which was accented by beautiful wedding florals by the talented The Wild Dahlia, and the State Room’s incredible views of Downtown Boston, Kara and Pat’s wedding was incredible! Not to mention, they are the absolute sweetest couple. I love them and their love together. It was evident from our first call together, at their engagement session, and throughout their wedding day events, that these two are made for each other and have such a special type of love.
Kara and Pat, it was an honor to capture your love and your beautiful wedding day. I have loved getting to know you both and witnessing your love together. I am so thankful everything fell into place and I was able to photograph your dream wedding! Congratulations again!
