Matt and Jen are the sweetest couple! I absolutely love meeting new couples, hearing their love story, and capturing their love on camera. We all had a wonderful time during their romantic Boston Engagement Session. Matt and Jen were both a little nervous about taking photos at first because it’s not something they have done before, which I completely understand, as everyone is always a little nervous at first. However, it didn’t take long for them to grow comfortable in front of the camera. They absolutely rocked their engagement session!
I knew from our initial inquiry phone call that Matt and Jen were an amazing couple. They were so sweet and down to earth. I loved talking to them during our session and getting to know more about them and their story!
The Proposal
Their proposal took place a week after Jen’s birthday. Matt had planned reservations at Row 34 in Boston to celebrate Jen’s birthday. After their dinner, the couple walked around the Seaport. Matt found a quiet spot by the water and got down on one knee to propose. Jen shared that she started crying tears of joy as she said yes. She was so overcome with happiness! The next day their friends planned a surprise engagement brunch to celebrate, which they described as completely unexpected and incredibly special.
I asked them what they love most about each other and their answers were so heartwarming! Jen said she loves “how big Matt’s heart is. He is always willing to go out of his way to do things for the people he cares about. He’s also super outgoing and can talk to anyone which always impresses me as a naturally more quiet person.”
Matt declared, “Jen is the type of person who will sacrifice anything in her life just to make someone else feel even the tiniest bit more happy. The amount of compassion she has for other people goes beyond what words can describe. Her work ethic never ceases to amaze me and I only wish there were more people like her in the world. She is my best friend and I am the luckiest man ever to be marrying her.”
How sweet are those answers?! These two are such a perfect match and are so sweet together. I am so excited to capture their wedding at The Langham in Boston later this year. The Langham is a beautiful, romantic Boston wedding venue – a perfect location for Matt and Jen’s wedding day!
