I absolutely love beach engagements! There is just something so romantic about the beach. It’s an ideal location for all types of events, but it’s a top location for engagement photos! Needless to say, Bridget and Jayson’s Cape Cod Beach Engagement Session was gorgeous! The weather, the sunshine, this beautiful couple-it was all perfect!
Bridget and Jayson are adorable together and were so much fun to be around! They did an amazing job selecting outfits for their portraits! Both of Bridget’s dresses were PERFECT! She looked radiant! The added glow of the sunshine only enhanced the shimmer of her second dress! Then, there was the champagne toast towards the end of their session, which was one of my favorite moments of the day! I was able to grab some great action shots as the champagne sprayed into the air from the bottle! It brought me so much joy to watch these two celebrate and toast to their future together! I can’t wait to photograph their wedding at Lakeview Pavilion with all their family and friends celebrating alongside them!
Their Story
As you know by now, I absolutely love learning about my couples. When I asked Bridget and Jayson how they met, they shared that they met on the “magical world of Hinge!” Jayson revealed that he waited six months to tell Bridget that they also were matched on two other dating sites but neither had worked out! Both of them love Pho, a Vietnamese soup dish, and had the same favorite restaurant. After over three years together they still love going on weekly pho dates. They also enjoy visits to the beach, cooking together, trying new restaurants, and traveling.
The Proposal
When I asked about their proposal, Jayson was excited to tell me all about his planned proposal! Knowing Bridget loves Christmas and how much she wanted a Christmas proposal, he decided to propose, but not in the typical way! He wanted to mess with her a bit. He put the ring box inside another box, and another, and another, and so on. Each box had a gift inside it along with the next smaller size box. The final result was quite large, so when Bridget sat down to open her gift, it took about 20 min for her to get through all the boxes and gifts. Jayson cleverly labeled each gift “To Bridget, From Jayson” except the ring box, which said, “To Jayson, From Bridget”. When she finally got to the final gift, she handed it to him as planned, still not knowing what it was. Then he opened it and proposed!
What a wonderful proposal story! I can only imagine the shock and excitement Bridget was feeling in that moment! Hearing couples’ amazing stories will never get old.
