Dreamy Boston Wedding

Michelle and Jeff said “I do” during their dreamy Boston wedding at The Royal Sonesta! Their wedding was incredibly moving. I can’t explain the feelings I got as I listened to their vow exchange and photographed their beautiful union! I had chills throughout their ceremony! Michelle and Jeff are so wonderful together and I loved seeing their shared love for one another which comes to life in their wedding photos!

The couple envisioned a Cape Cod styled wedding with a laid back atmosphere and coastal vibes. Their love for the Cape is one reason they chose The Royal Sonesta as their wedding venue. They loved the beautiful views of the water from the venue. The stunning Boston skyline in the background was an added bonus!

The wedding bouquets featured pale blue hydrangeas, white flowers, and vibrant greens. Michelle wore a stunning off-shoulder wedding dress with intricate floral detail. The bridesmaids’ dresses were a gorgeous peacock color! I love how the couple brought their Cape Cod wedding vision to life in the details, while also incorporating aspects of their culture, like featuring a chuppah at the ceremony and delicious Russian food at their reception.

Their Story

The couple Initially matched on J-Swipe in 2020. They recalled having so much in common! Unfortunately, their first date didn’t go anywhere; however, Michelle declares that she knew she would be with Jeff, but it just took him a little longer to get there.

Fast forward to New Years Eve, 2020, Jeff found Michelle on Hinge. Luckily, Michelle was willing to give it another try. The couple recalls, “for our first (second) date, Michelle had her guard up… she wanted to go shopping for house-hold necessities. Jeff obliged. Later, we spent a cold winter day walking at the Cape with Bella, freezing, but laughing, and (eventually) again with a warm cup of tea. As days turned into weeks, we became inseparable. We shared our love for travel, the water, music, a good sour beer, and of course, Adidas. We both knew we were destined to spend the rest of our lives together.”

The Proposal

At the end of August, their families were supposed to spend Labor Day Weekend together at the Cape. Cape Cod holds a very special place in their hearts as they both spent their childhood summers there. The couple planned to have dinner with their respective parents, and while Michelle was out having dinner with her parents, Jeff was running around buying roses and Reese’s Peanut butter Cups (Michelle’s favorite candy). When Michelle came home, Jeff had the flowers and candy all over the living room, with their song playing. They danced to the song, and then Jeff proposed.

I absolutely love their story! It just proves that when things are meant to be they will be! I also really connected with Michelle and Jeff throughout the wedding planning process. We bonded further during the design of the wedding album! I loved getting a chance to sit down with them after the wedding to view their stunning portraits and relive all their favorite moments of the day! They loved their album so much, they even purchased two extra for their parents! I shot their wedding mostly with film, which Michelle and Jeff LOVED the end result. They could tell how dreamy and classic the film images turned out.
