Newport Engagement at The Chanler

I recently captured a beautiful and romantic Newport Engagement at The Chanler at Cliff Walk in Rhode Island. The Chanler is an elegant, luxury hotel and wedding venue! At every turn there is beauty and breathtaking views, as it sits right on the water. The gorgeous ocean views just beyond the array of beautiful flowers featured in their pristine gardens are a stunning sight, and one that is perfect for a romantic proposal! Needless to say, I was thrilled when Vivek reached out to me about capturing his proposal to Akhila here!

The couple was vacationing in Rhode Island from out of state. Akhila was unsuspecting and completely surprised when Vivek dropped to one knee and proposed! Capturing the sheer joy and surprise on her face was priceless! It brings me such joy knowing they will have these images to look back on over the years. Photos like these have the ability to transport you back in time to special moments such as this.

After capturing the surprise proposal, Vivek and I coordinated a mini engagement session around the lovely grounds of The Chanler. This fairy-tale-like location painted the perfect backdrop for their engagement photos. An arrangement of blossoming flowers gave way to spectacular views of the ocean! While this is a popular Newport wedding venue, and for good reason, it is also the perfect spot for a surprise proposal and a romantic, celebratory dinner afterwards.

Vivek had it all planned out, with dinner reservations following the proposal and engagement photos. There was also a bottle of champagne nearby and ready for them to toast to their future together! Congratulations, Vivek + Akhila!
