I am so excited to share Amanda and Rachel’s Log Cabin Wedding that took place in Holyoke, MA! It was a truly magnificent venue nestled in Western Massachusetts with jaw dropping views of the mountains. Their outdoor wedding ceremony was amazing overlooking the mountain ranges and land below. Amanda and Rachel’s wedding day was a lovely mix of elegance and rustic charm that came together beautifully.
Rustic Log Cabin Wedding
The couple shared with me prior to the wedding that they were looking for a venue that felt like a rustic mountain weekend. They definitely nailed it, as that is exactly the vibe I got from this gorgeous venue! Amanda and Rachel noted the many trails surrounding the venue that they hoped to explore over the weekend. As a couple who enjoys hiking and embarking on adventures together, The Log Cabin not only encompassed their vision for their wedding but also their favorite pastimes.
Amanda and Rachel’s wedding had lovely personal details woven in that really made everything stand out! Their wedding day colors of hunter green, light grey, and rosewood complemented the natural setting of the Log Cabin. At the reception, they had a photo of their dog, Bear, who wasn’t at the wedding, but is a huge part of their lives and also made an appearance in their engagement photos I captured earlier in the year! Their wedding cake was perfect! The tiered white cake was detailed to look like wooden logs. The cake display also featured two white chairs in front circled around a campfire! I love all the thought and planning that went into the wedding planning and details!
Amanda and Rachel are the sweetest, and I have loved getting to know them! The love they share is absolutely beautiful, and there were multiple times throughout the night where there wasn’t a dry eye in the room (including mine!) They shared with me parts of their love story, which I always love hearing, and I’d love to share with you too!
Their Love Story
“We’ve been together almost 3 years now. We technically met online in the summer of 2017. We both had several mutual friends at the time. After a few short stand ups for a first date (on Rachel’s part Lol) she finally agreed. Our first date was walking around Castle Island And dinner at Lincoln Tavern. Messy burgers were not the best first date meal, but clearly the rest is history!”
The Proposal
Amanda and Rachel got engaged on a weekend trip to Burlington, VT on the beach of Lake Champlain, which happened to be the same weekend Massachusetts issued its stay-at-home order, which as you can imagine wasn’t the best timing!
How Did You Know You Found The One?
“I knew that Rachel was the one because the moment I met her she gave me a sense of home . . . She is my best friend and the person I couldn’t imagine living a life without”

“I knew Amanda was the one when I awkwardly invited her to meet my whole family the night before my sister’s wedding and all of my family loved her. She can easily strike up a conversation with anyone and was comfortable around my family instantly.”
