While I love capturing all my couples’ love stories, there is something extra special when I am able to capture several significant moments of their relationship. Brittany and Pat’s Willowdale Estate Fall Wedding was one of those special, full-circle moments as I had the honor of capturing Pat’s surprise proposal AND their Cape Cod Engagement, and now their beautiful wedding day. I have been working with this beautiful couple for over a year, since Pat was first planning his proposal to Brittany, and they are a dream. Seeing their love story play out behind my camera lens has been such a joy and I am so excited to share moments from their dreamy fall wedding day!
The Willowdale Estate is a stunning, stately wedding venue in Topsfield, Massachusetts. The historic, rustic mansion provides a beautiful backdrop to any wedding day. The grounds are equally as stunning. The beautiful golden hues from the fall foliage were just an added bonus! Brittany and Pat shared a first look on a bridge at the property. They chose this specific location, not only because it is a beautiful, natural spot, but also for its significance as Pat’s dad actually helped design the bridge! Thankfully, we were able to dodge the rain that kept threatening us overhead, and capture everything they wanted outdoors.
Willowdale Estate Fall Wedding
After an emotional, teary eyed first look, I captured group shots of the wedding party in the courtyard area. The courtyard has an old-world, romantic vibe that I just love. Towards the end of their wedding party portraits, we had the bridal party toss flower petals around the couple. The end result was stunning, and has quickly become one of my favorite photos of the year! Brittany and Pat’s wedding crew were all about the photos! We all had so much fun and they made capturing their group images easy, as they were down to do anything and everything to get the perfect shot. I even captured a few epic group wedding party photos in one of the rooms before the ceremony.
Brittany and Pat’s wedding ceremony took place inside the mansion’s glass conservatory. After their intimate ceremony, the party moved outdoors to their tented reception, which was the venue’s last tented wedding of the season. Their wedding reception was elegant and timeless. White flower centerpieces and bunches of eucalyptus leaves adorned the tables. Candles added both light and ambiance. Then, there was the thoughtful touch of a thank you note on each table for all their guests. Seeing the couple’s vision come to life with all the carefully planned details was such a treat.
Brittany and Pat, it has been such an honor to capture all of these monumental moments of your relationship. Watching the two of you together leaves me with no doubt that you are meant for each other. Thank you for including me on your wedding day and allowing me to see your love story unfold! Congratulations!
