I had the great joy of capturing this adorable couple, Caroline and Jim for their Nantasket Beach Engagement Session! Everything about their glowy beach session was perfect! The beach is always a wonderful location option for an engagement session. The scenery is unmatched, the lighting is usually gorgeous, and it is an incredibly romantic spot that helps curate gorgeous, timeless images.
Nantasket Beach Engagement Session
Caroline and Jim also did an AMAZING job picking outfits! The light and neutral tones paired beautifully with the scenery! Caroline’s dusty pink, flowy dress looked amazing as she walked the beach! The ankle-length dress blew in the wind, which added movement to their photos. She also brought along a wide-brimmed sun hat that she wore in some of the photos too!
Caroline and I connected right off the bat! She is not only incredibly sweet and caring, but she is also in the medical field! I absolutely loved getting to know her and Jim! They are so sweet together and you can tell they have a lot of fun! They met while Caroline was in medical school in Argentina and have been together for 7 years, stating in their own words, “we knew from the beginning.”
The Proposal
You know I love a good proposal story! I always ask all my couples about their story! Caroline recalled the time leading up to the actual proposal where she was in constant suspense wondering, if today would be the day?! She ofter caught herself wondering if he was going to propose every time they went somewhere romantic. Other times she would think to herself, “This place would be perfect for a proposal!” She even said that she was so sure it was going to happen any moment that she constantly had her nails done and made sure she had makeup on just in case!
Even though Caroline was suspecting a proposal soon, the actual proposal still took her by complete surprise! Jim kept saying he wanted to take Caroline gold-panning. He asked her to go multiple times before she agreed! When they were finally out there in ankle-deep, cold river water, Jim was instructing her on the proper way to do it. He then instructed her to look down. Then, as Caroline lifted her sifter up, he was standing there holding out a gorgeous ring! She recalls that she was so speechless, “He had to ask me to marry him twice!” Jim likes to joke that Caroline, “really ‘found gold’ that day!”
What an amazing, unique proposal! I will never tire of hearing all the fun, unique, and romantic proposal stories of all my couples! Just when I think I’ve heard it all, I am caught by surprise! I just love it!
